Essex New Build

When we first met Charlotte and Simon, owners of this fantastic New Build, it was clear they had differing opinions of how the interiors should look. Charlotte wanted to incorporate hugely colourful, vibrant and bold prints from Missoni Home and Designers Guild. Simon, being more conservative, wanted a more sober and calmer feel to the schemes; it was clear we needed to reach a compromise.

When we initially visited the property it was a breeze block shell. This gave us a tremendous opportunity, having understood the client’s tastes to ensure that the desired look was achieved in every room in the house. We worked closely with the builders and bathroom supplier; we selected all the paint colours, advised on the bathroom suites, chose the fixtures and fittings as well as supplying all of towelling.

Charlotte chose black kitchen units with cream work surfaces. Because this room is the hub of the house in a quite open plan layout, we started our design process here. We achieved the final results by mixing a traditional feel along with the more contemporary styled kitchen.

Throughout the entire property we responded to Charlotte’s desires by introducing accent features such as brilliant feature walls and bright accessories. We chose wallpapers from Colefax & Fowler and Designers Guild and selected fabrics from Missoni Home, Designers Guild, Threads and Zimmer & Rohde.
